Happy Thursday! Can you believe Derby is next weekend. I always love the Derby. It is the most exciting time in Kentucky.  Let's talk about what to wear for the occasion. You want to make sure that you have a hat or fascinator. My hat is from The Hat Girls. If you are located in the Kentucky area and  are looking for a hat don't forget to check them out. They have so many amazing and unique hats. They are located in Norton Commons. I chose this purple and pink fascinator to give my black dress a little pop of color.  Next you want to choose a dress. You want to make sure that you pick a dress dress that is comfortable but still looks good. I chose this simple black dress for my look.  It is super comfortable and ties at the waist. You could also go for a pattern dress as well. This gingham dress would also be a great Derby option. Then you have to add jcwelry to your Derby look. You could add bracelets, earrings, etc.   I'm loving these simple gold disc earrings as well. For my accessories since I have a black dress I wanted a pop of color in my accessories. These tassel hoop earrings are my favorite and are only $15. I love them because they paired well with my fascinator. You also want to have a good cross body or clutch. You want to make sure that it is 12 x 12 for Derby regulations. I decided to go neutral with my clutch. Straw bags are really in this season. Last but finally you need to choose a pair of comfortable heels or wedges. I chose to go with a pair of my favorite heels that I can wear for hours without my feet hurting. You also want to make sure you wear your shoes before Derby and break them in. I hope these tips helped you when planning your Derby outfits. If you have any questions, let me know.
